Just this week, we caught up with Mona Lxsa, the Irish DJ that's been making some serious moves on the scene. Our interview came courtesy of Toblerone, and it was a very fitting partnership. After all, this triangular chocolate is anything but square. It's a one-of-a-kind original, and the exact same could be said for Mona Lxsa.

Mona Lxsa is a regular fixture across Ireland's most beloved clubs and festivals. This year alone she performed at Electric Picnic and Longitude. In the latest episode of Her Meets in partnership with Toblerone, we caught up with Mona Lxsa to chat inspiration, driving forces and career highlights so far.

Mona Lxsa describes herself as a jack-of-all-trades and master of life, and it's an apt label when you consider her career so far. As she looks back on what she's achieved, a few highlights come to mind.

She tells Her: "Burrell called me and they said, 'You're a DJ for PrettyLittleThing,' and I was like, 'Yes! I made it!'"

Another 'I'm here' moment that Mona Lxsa recalls is opening for Taylah Elaine.

"She's amazing, I'm super inspired by her," says Mona Lxsa. "That was really a great opportunity."

Drive and creativity has fuelled this DJ's career, and she tells Her that her inspiration comes from those around her.

"I'm inspired by the people around me. Mainly, my family, my sister, my mom, the friends I have and my community. I look up to the people around me more than anyone else because the people around me are super inspiring."

The opportunity to try new things is another driving force.

"The best part of my job is getting to meet different people, working with new people every day. Everything's new, every single day."

Right now, her career goal is to continue working with amazing women, and to build a platform for creatives.

"My ultimate career goal is to continue to support and build platforms that support other creatives."
