Algar stars in The Iris Affair, a gripping thriller created by Neil Cross, the mind behind Luther. In the series, she plays the enigmatic Iris Nixon, a code-cracking genius whose latest puzzle brings her all the way to Florence, Italy. There, she meets Cameron Beck - played by Tom Hallander - a charming entrepreneur who recruits Iris to unlock a top-secret piece of tech for him. Iris accepts Cameron's recruitment, but when she discovers how the technology may be used for nefarious purposes, she makes the decision to swipe it for herself and hit the road.
