Last year's rose gold hair proved a major hit and the rose gold hair trend has now been revamped especially for brunettes. Yep, 'rose gold brunette' is a thing and it's absolutely gorgeous as you'll see from the Instagram posts below.

Hannah Edelman coined the trend, shared the results to Instagram and explained the process to Pop Sugar.

I won't lie, I was nervous creating natural brown tones with vivids. After lots of mental glances at the color wheel (it will answer all of your questions), I was able to mix everything you see. Fuck yeah, doing stuff!! ???

Hannah used five different shades (soft and warm browns, mauve and a pink that's almost like gold) to create that beautiful shade of rose gold. Rose gold brunette involves two different techniques: colour-melting and balayage. Colour -melting was the first technique she used allowing for a "subtle dimension" resulting in an iridescent, ethereal effect. Balayage was then used for two reasons - 1) so that the technique would help blend the lighter hues blend in with the client's natural hair and 2) so that it would be kept low-maintenance. You can see how other colourists recreated the trend in the posts below. As you'll see, you can either keep the look quite soft and natural or really amp it up with some brighter pinks.
