Add us as a preferred source on Google »We can all only dream of having skin as good as a Hollywood celebrity. Having millions in the bank and access to the best skincare experts makes it easy for them to avoid breakouts, but there's also one thing we can do to get an A-lister glow.
Kim Kardashian's facialist has revealed one skincare step we're making a mess of and it won't cost you a penny to fix it.
Toska Husted explained that many of us are making mistakes when it comes to our nighttime skincare routines.
The facialist told E! News that applying your skincare minutes before you go to sleep is a major mistake.
You're not giving your skin enough time to absorb the products and most of it is just ending up on the pillow.
She explained, "Half of it is going to end up on the pillowcase. Do it at least about 30 minutes or an hour before bedtime."
Not only are you wasting your products, but you're also causing more problems for your skin in the long run.
Husted also told people to use four key products every single day- a cleanser, a serum, a moisturiser, and a sunscreen.
Skipping sunscreen is one mistake many people make, especially in the winter.
"Don’t skip sunscreen during the wintertime. You want to protect your skin no matter what time of the year it is," Toska added.
If, like me, you're guilty of dumping half your skincare products on your face 15 minutes before bed then make this change and see if it makes a difference. It's a skincare change that will hopefully make a positive change.
