There is a bizarre (but simple) trick to find your perfect shade of blusher

We all make mistakes when it comes to make up, from buying a foundation that is far too light for your skin to blusher that is far too dark. Blusher is something that women have struggled with for years as it often looks too red or pink on your skin and it is difficult to achieve a natural look with it. Many women don't even bother with blusher at all because they just can't get it right. Interestingly,  Global Educating Artist for Marc Jacobs Beauty Yvonne MacInnis has a very simple, surprising trick to get the colour right. Yvonne claims that the colour on the inside of your bottom lip is the colour you should be wearing on your cheeks.

"Take a peek at the inside of your bottom lip. This colour, which is different on everyone, is a great guideline to what color 'exists' organically in each individual skin tone organically," She told Bustle.

Basically, she advises finding a blusher tone that matches the inside of your lip. Pull your lip down with your finger, the inner lip, which usually rests against the teeth is where you should match the colour to. Some people will have quite a warm red tone while others will have a lighter peach tone on the skin there. It may look weird in Boots when you start pulling your lip down and matching it to products but it might be worth it if it means finally finding the perfect blusher tone for your skin.
