This Could Completely Change The Way We Shave

Shaving is quick and convenient when it comes to hair removal but there’s no denying that it comes with its own set of problems. If you’ve ever found yourself sticking tissue to your leg in an attempt to stop a cut, half an hour before a night on the tiles, you’ll know exactly what we mean. That could be soon a thing of the past thanks to a new laser powered razer without any blades. The brains behind Skarp Technologies, Morgan Gustavsson and Paul Binun, have pioneered the idea of a razer using laser technology. According to them, Skarp means you can say goodbye to scratches, burns and cutting and there isn’t even a need for shaving gel when usng this new-fangled invention. The Daily Mail reports that Morgan invented and patented Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) in 1989 and the technology is still used as a method of hair removal, and in dermatology treatments. The downside is it’s pretty pricey at £125 but considering you won’t have to buy cartridges/blades (added plus for the environment) and you get the smoothest shave ever, it’s definitely a game changer. Morgan and Paul launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the idea and they’ve completely exceeded their targets, raising ¢2 million in less than a week. With backing like this, they hope to put Skarp into production soon and we could see it on the shelves by March of next year.
