This waitress was left a makeup shaming ‘tip’…but had a flawless reply

Things quickly turned sour.

A waitress says she was left a makeup shaming "tip" instead of an actual gratuity - after two teens claimed to not have enough funds for their food. The aspiring MUA, who goes by the Instagram handle @WingedandContoured, wrote that the two girls who were "around 16 years old" came in during her shift and she took "great care of them". But it all turned sour when she dropped off the bill. She began by explaining how when the pair got the cheque, they demanded to speak to manger because "they didn't have enough money" - and it just got even more wild from there. https://www.instagram.com/p/BXl9k1yF-eA/ The full post reads:

"When people try to hurt your feelings over your makeup, good thing I know my #makeupwas #flawless today? "Story: two girls around 16 years old came in and I was their waitress. I took great care of them and everything was great until I dropped the check off. "When I returned to pick it up, they demanded to speak to a manager because they 'didn't have enough money' and I 'didn't tell them exactly how much their food was going to cost them' even though they had the menus for a good 20 minutes before they decided what they wanted. "Long story short my manager would not discount their food because they shouldn't have ordered food they couldn't pay for, and it was not my responsibility to tell them while they were ordering how much it costs after tax and everything. "They 'magically' had a card to put it on and this is the 'tip' they left me."

And social media users were quick to throw their own thoughts on the bill (and contouring) into the comments. One wrote:

"I don't get it though... your contour is completely blended lol they  just needed an excuse to put someone down since they were probably embarrassed by not being able to pay a bill."

Another chimed in:

"I find it very difficult to believe that so petty people exist. I'm really glad you didn't let their pettiness ruin your day. Rock on!"

Meanwhile, another person said:

"Horrible, your make up is great? just embarrassed that they couldn't afford their food so they had to try make you feel bad so they don't look as stupid. "Don't know how anyone thinks it's okay to say that to someone. Especially someone so pretty?."
