Netflix will release the family drama on the streaming service in 2026.
The author is said to be over the moon following the news of the adaptation.
Grown Ups is one of the Irish author's biggest hits, but we'd happily see any of her novels being made into a TV series.
The series is based on three couples - Nell and Liam, Cara and Ed, Jessie and Rory, like most families, the Caseys are a complicated bunch. Ever-shifting politics. Old and new resentments. Arguments that blow over quickly and hurt that are nursed forever. They’re loyal. Noisy. And bound together by a whole lot of love.
The cast has not yet been announced but we're eager to see who will be part of the show.
Speaking about the Netflix news, Marian Keyes said: "I SCREAMED when I got this news! It’s thrilling that See-Saw and Netflix are bringing Grown Ups to the screen – they’ve already brought me so much pleasure as a viewer.
"Samantha Strauss really ‘gets’ the dynamics of the book and I’ve loved the treatment and scripts that I’ve seen. Honest to God, I’m overjoyed," she added.
Samantha Strauss also shared, "I have worshipped at the altar of Marian Keyes for decades and the opportunity to play in her sandpit with her wonderfully messy, complex, lovely characters is a dream come true. ‘Grown Ups’ will be Picking Scabs’ second collaboration with Netflix and our first outing in the UK. We couldn’t be more excited by this partnership."
Grown Ups won't be released on Netflix until 2026 but there's no doubt it will be worth the wait.
