The top Kindle read of 2025 has been revealed, and we're not one bit surprised to see The Housemaid by Freida McFadden come out on top.
The novel has claimed the title of 'unputdownable fiction title' according to Amazon.
It was the most popular book with Kindle readers this year, and is set to see an even bigger spike in popularity when the movie with Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney is released later this month.
The Housemaid follows ex-convict Millie as she starts working for the wealthy Winchester family after spending time behind bars. Millie can’t quite believe her luck when she lands the job, but all is not what it seems.
20 million copies have been sold since the novel was released in 2023, and you can buy it here for just €3.40. Buy a copy here.

I read it on the bus, during my break at work, at bus stops, on planes, when I was waiting for my coffee in my favourite cafe, and when I was completely exhausted but forcing my eyes open to get one more chapter in.
