Alan Hughes Proposes Live on Ireland AM

Popping the question is a big deal anyway but can you imagine doing it live on air with the entire nation watching on? Well the prospect clearly didn't phase Alan Hughes who proposed to his other half on Ireland AM this morning. The presenter was on chatting about how things have changed for same sex couples in Ireland over the last 20 years.

This is when he decided to get down on one knee and ask his partner Karl Broderick a very important question.
