The 36-year-old singer, who began her Sin City residency at Caesar’s Palace in November 2022, had faced several production delays before finally taking the stage - but she’s now ready for a break from the spotlight.
Throughout the residency, Adele performed nearly every Friday and Saturday night, alongside completing a special 10-night stint at a purpose-built stadium in Munich.
Despite the success, Adele admitted that the demanding schedule of performing live shows week after week has taken a physical and emotional toll on her.
"Doing four hours a weekend of completely live singing is a lot," Adele told the crowd during her final show.
“And I chat a lot, and I’m very, very sensitive and emotional.”
She continued: "I am battered after these shows. I take every single person in this room into my soul, and I take you home with me."
Explaining how the residency affected her physically, Adele shared the challenges she faces on her days off.
"Mondays, I’m very, very bedraggled because I get home very, very, very early on Sunday morning rather than very late on Saturday," she said.
"And I look like a truck has hit me. Normally, I go on vocal rest for a couple of days, sometimes I need it, sometimes I pretend I need it, just so I don’t have to talk to anybody."
Though Adele expressed deep gratitude for her fans and the incredible experience, she confessed that she’s ready for a break.
"I’m going to miss [the shows] terribly, but I’m very ready for them to be over. It’s a big deal to me because it’s very, very bittersweet.
“But this residency has been in my mind for four years... four years for one [expletive] idea."
Looking ahead, Adele said she’s eager to spend more time with her family. "I’m looking forward to having loads of spare time to love on my kids, to love on my man, and to love on another kid. To love on my house. I need to get back to my own life."
Earlier this year, the Grammy-winning artist revealed plans to step away from music for a while following the conclusion of her Las Vegas residency.
"I don’t have any plans for new music, at all," she told her fans in July.
"I want a big break after this and I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while."
Despite this, Adele reassured her fans during her final show that she will return to the stage.
"The only thing I’m good at is singing," she said. "I just don’t know when I want to next come on stage, but I love you."
