We know the festive season isn't all about the gifts but we can't help but get excited when shopping for our nearest and dearest.
We do our utmost best to ensure we find the perfect gifts for the people we love but there are two groups of people who reign supreme when it comes to gift-giving.
According to photo printing specialists CEWE, mothers, and sisters are the greatest gift-givers in Ireland.
The CEWE team spoke to Irish people about the best gifts they have received with 'experiences' coming out on top.
"Our survey shows that what Irish people really value when it comes to a Christmas gift is not the amount on the price tag but the amount of thought that has gone into it,” says Steve Manfield, CEWE Ireland Marketing Director.
"The vast majority of our survey respondents say that personalised gifts are the ones they really cherish and value, which comes as no surprise to us," says Mr. Manfield.
"CEWE is synonymous with personalised Christmas gifts, and we’ve been helping people to create meaningful festive memories and keepsakes through our photo printing gifts for many years."
The team also discovered that Irish mams and sisters give people the best gifts of all.
Along with mums and sisters, partners are seen as the best gift givers, while aunts and uncles joining Dads and brothers as the worst.
"The joy of giving and receiving Christmas gifts is very much evident among Irish people surveyed", Mr Manfield concluded.
