Eight additional cast members have joined the upcoming romantic drama series, and let's just say we think readers will be happy with these choices.
Last month, Prime Video confirmed that Nancy Surridge and Conor Sánchez will act as the main characters Shannon Lynch and Johnny Kavanagh, and James O'Donoghue will play Shannon's troubled older brother Joey Lynch, with Sophie McGibbon starring as his girlfriend Aoife Molloy.
After a widespread search, Prime Video confirmed that Amelia May will play Shannon's best friend Claire Biggs, and John Hewson will star alongside her as Johnny's best friend Gerard (Gibsie) Gibson.
Indy Lewis will play Lizzie Young, and Alex Dunne will act as Hugh Biggs.
Additional cast includes Dixie Egerickx as Katie Wilmot, Daisy Jacob as Bella Wilkinson, Jonathan Heed as Cormac Ryan, and Cathal Ó Síocháin as Ronan McGarry.
The search for Patrick Feely is still underway.
The romantic drama series will be brought to the screen by the producers of The Summer I Turned Pretty, One Day, and Twilight.
The romantic drama will follow the forbidden love story of two Irish teenagers studying at Tommen College, a prestigious private school in Ballylaggin, Co. Cork. Johnny Kavanagh is the school's star rugby player with a chance to go professional. Shannon Lynch is the shy new girl at Tommen College.
Both students are hiding their own secrets. Shannon struggles with a violent and abusive home life, and Johnny has been hiding a potentially career-threatening injury. Through their shared secrets and undeniable chemistry, the two teens battle against all odds to save one another.
The first season of the show will follow the stories of Binding 13 and Keeping 13, the first two novels in the Boys of Tommen series.
It is anticipated that further seasons will follow the rest of the Boys of Tommen novels, focusing on Johnny and Shannon’s friends and family.
Boys of Tommen will premiere exclusively on Prime Video.
