French and Saunders to hit our screens with dazzling Christmas special

They’re back!

If you’re feeling like a cosy, festive and all-round hilarious Christmas, French and Saunders have a spectacular show planned! To mark thirty years since their side-splitting antics first entered our living-rooms, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders have some epic plans in the works. Best known for their iconic appearances and spoofs, including Silence of the Lambs, Harry Potter, Titanic and Thelma & Louise, the ladies are thought to be creating a parody of the Hand Maids Tale plus some boozy reality TV shows set in the sun. Who knows? There might even be more shenanigans arranged for what is predicted to be a BBC 1 Christmas Day special. Speaking to the Mirror, the lovely Dawn French said,

"I am shocked by how they behave. You reckon they’d want to meet someone who would love, cherish and respect them. But instead they go out and get utterly hammered and are shagging in a bush and coming out and going ‘Yes!’, like men.”

The 59-year-old also commented,

“There’s some Handmaids Tale in there. We had fun with some of the costumes.”

So far, these are the only clues we’ve been given. All we know is this will be a major highlight of Christmas Day and we simply cannot wait to see these epitomes of fabulousness back in action!
