Game of Thrones’ Jack Gleeson is making his return to TV

Six years after Game of Thrones, Jack Gleeson is making his return to TV.

The 27-year-old - who played King Joffrey for the first few seasons of the HBO epic - has joined the cast of the BBC series Out of Her Mind.  The six-part BBC Two comedy series stars Sara Pascoe - who also wrote the series - as well as Riviera's Juliet Stevenson, The Split's Fiona Button, Doctor Foster's Navin Chowdhry, Peep Show's Cariad Lloyd and rapper Scroobius Pip. Out Of Her Mind is described as exploring heartbreak, family and how to survive them. The series subverts the traditional sitcom format by combining eccentric characters, animation, and scientific explanation.

"Out Of Her Mind is a direct expression of my mind. We've turned my brain into a theme-park, and everyone's invited! The cast are INCREDIBLE and I can't wait for people to see what we've made," Pascoe said of the series. Out Of Her Mind is a Stolen Picture and Mouse The Dog co-production for BBC Two. It has been commissioned by Patrick Holland, Controller of BBC Two, and Shane Allen, Controller Comedy Commissioning for the BBC and will be Executive Produced by Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Miles Ketley for Stolen Picture and Sara Pascoe. Catherine Gosling Fuller will produce, the Blaine Brothers are directing and the BBC Commissioning Editor is Kate Daughton. The series will be distributed by Sony Pictures Television and transmission details for BBC Two will be confirmed in due course.
