Jennifer Aniston just gave us all a much-needed update on the rumoured Friends reunion.

A couple of weeks ago, there was great excitement when it appeared that a Friends reunion was all but confirmed. However, there hasn't been much said about it since and people have been wondering if it's going to happen at all. Jennifer Aniston, possibly one of the most loved Hollywood stars there is, says the six famous pals are doing their level best to ensure it goes ahead. Phew. In a recent interview with People, The Morning Show actress was asked if she knows anything about the reunion plans and her response was a straight-out "nothing". However, she did continue on to say:

"And I will just continue with… we’re trying". "It’s a never ending question, isn’t it? What else could make a group of six actors feel more proud. It’s bringing people joy on a daily basis".

You said it Jen, you said it. The Friends reunion is thought to be in development at HBO Max, the new WarnerMedia-backed streaming platform FYI, according to The Hollywood Reporter. At that time, the report stated:

"Talks are currently underway for an unscripted reunion special that would feature Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, as well as series creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman. Sources caution that a deal is far from done and agreements with cast and creatives still need to be hammered out. When and if deals are completed, the challenge then becomes sorting out everyone's schedules. Of course, the talks could fizzle and the whole concept could fall apart."
