"She had a huge amount of respect for Demi and thought Niamh was a real rising star after she saw her in her TV series The Virtues," a source told the publication.
“Sinéad, too, thought Saoirse was fierce and loved her from her film Brooklyn in 2015 when she played an Irish migrant," they added.

In talks, she reportedly was keen to get involved with the script and favoured the idea of a 'triptych-style film featuring three different actresses.
In true Sinéad style she wanted three actresses that would fit in with a 'satirical reference to the Catholic Church's father, son, and Holy Ghost.'
It has not been confirmed if the film will go ahead in her memory.
The singer, who died aged 56, was buried in her hometown of Bray, Co Wicklow, last week.
Since her untimely passing, tributes have been pouring in for the 'beloved daughter of Ireland.'
