Rose Plays Julie, the excellent 2019 Irish thriller drama movie, is airing on TV tonight (Saturday, 24 May).
Written and directed by Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor (Baltimore, Kin), the film centres on a university student named Rose (Ann Skelly, The Nevers).
Having been adopted as a young child, she is now seeking out her biological parents.
After tracking down her birth mother (Orla Brady, Star Trek: Picard), Rose discovers disturbing information relating to her biological father (Aidan Gillen, Kin) – whom she then sets out to confront.
Holding an impressive 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes, Rose Plays Julie’s darkly compelling story, incredible performances, and dread-inducing atmosphere should be seen by a wider audience.
The movie is airing on TV tonight on RTÉ One at 11.20pm.
It is also currently streaming on Prime Video.
