RTÉ, in association with the BBC, Screen Ireland, and Cineflix Rights, revealed a first look photo of the cast of the “eagerly anticipated” TV series The Walsh Sisters.
The series is set to be released this autumn on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
Based on the bestselling novels Rachel’s Holiday and Anybody Out There, we follow sisters Anna, Rachel, Maggie, Claire, and Helen navigating their lives during their late 20s and 30s.
The series tells the story of sisterhood, how people move through the ups and downs of life.
RTÉ gives us a first look at the show's cast:
Louisa Harland (Derry Girls) - Anna Walsh
Caroline Menton (Oddity) - Rachel Walsh
Danielle Galligan (Shadow and Bone) - Claire Walsh
Máiréad Tyers (Extraordinary) - Helen Walsh
Stefanie Preissner (Solpadeine is My Boyfriend) - Maggie Walsh
Keyes has sold over 39 million books worldwide, with her works translated into 36 languages.
She was also named Author of the Year at the 2022 British Book Awards.
Keyes spoke of how “thrilled” she is about the production of this series:
“These amazing people have captured the spirit of my books, and they're transformed into something new and exciting.”
"This probably sounds like a strange thing to say but even if I wasn't involved in this, I'd be dying to see it."
“I'm so grateful to all the individuals who worked so hard to make this beautiful series and I'm very excited for the world to see the finished product.”
