The original show aired from 2011 to 2019 for nine seasons, with Meghan playing the part of a paralegal, Rachel Zane, for the first seven seasons - prior to marrying Prince Harry.
With the internet fixated on the Duchess of Sussex, it is now being reported that the 'Suits' creator is in the process of developing a new show that would take place in the same universe as its predecessor, but would not serve as a reboot or sequel to it, according to the Mirror.
Deadline reports that the producer will have the new series take place in Los Angeles instead of New York City like the original, and will include new characters instead of Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams, or Louis Litt played by Rick Hoffman.
This comes amid rumours that 'Suits' was headed for a reboot, with a throwback posted by its star, Patrick J. Adams, adding more speculation that it would be making a welcome comeback.
"Let's get serious. Seriously. I miss my friends. Each and every one of them," He captioned the post that included unseen photos of Meghan, as well as other cast members. Patrick's character of Mike fell in love, and eventually married, Rachel, who was played by the Duchess of Sussex.
Her last episode in aired a month before her wedding to the youngest son of King Charles and the late Princess Diana.
Over the summer, the hit legal drama spent twelve straight weeks as the most streamed television series in the United States, according to Nielsen data, which counts the total minutes viewed across television and streaming platforms.
