Southern Living reports that people who are late tend to be a lot more optimistic and unrealistic. That means that they're likely to assume they can shower, cook five dinners for the week, and message eight different lads on Tinder before going to meet you.
Spoiler: they can't - but while that may be seriously irritating for you, it actually means that they're likely to be far less stressed and will therefore live longer.
In fact, researchers at Harvard Medical School said that: “An optimistic outlook early in life can predict better health and a lower rate of death during follow-up periods of 15 to 40 years.”
Good for them.
But that's not the only reason that late people are happier and more successful (allegedly).
Generally, being late means that you've been busy with something else - and if that something else is an activity or a hobby or work or whatever, chances are you're pretty passionate about it.
And passion is good and will lead to great things.
Even if you're stupidly late from time to time. We guess.
