The couple travelled to El Salvador, her native country, for the birth but when they returned home to Dallas they became concerned that their baby had been switched with another.
DNA tests later confirmed their fears and the doctor, Dr Alejandro Guidos, was arrested.

Yesterday, after Dr Guidos appeared in court to be formally accused, it was revealed that investigators had found the son of Mr Cushworth and Ms Casanellas.
The country’s Prosecutor General’s Office issued an order for other new mothers to have their babies DNA tested.
