The most expensive house in the world has just been revealed and good news... it's for sale. The dreamy mansion along the coast of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat in the South of France is 187 years old and costs a sweet €350 million. According to Bloomberg, the house is a 18,000-square-foot, 14 bedroom mansion on 35 acres. It also revealed a little history on the house, built in 1830, the house was once a working olive tree farm owned by the mayor of Villefranche-sur-Mer. From there, it was sold by the mayor's family to the Belgian King Leopold II in 1904, who, as Bloomberg reveals was "made stupendously rich by his exploitation of mineral resources and rubber trees in the Congo Free State (now the Democratic Republic of Congo)." The house was in the hands of the Marnier-Lapostolle family (who are known as the masters of creating cognac) and now it's on the market for the first time since 1924. Thinking of placing a bid?
