An Irish person is yet to come forward with their winning EuroMillions Plus ticket

A lucky Irish person is about to be a lot richer once they realise their ticket for the Euromillions Plus on Tuesday has won them €500,000. Although the main EuroMillions jackpot, which was €168million, was won in Belgium we still had reasons to celebrate for having a winning ticket in the Plus draw. The winning ticket was sold in Ballinaboola, Co Wexford and was a quick pick. The numbers drawn were, 20, 22, 28, 30, 44. It's not the first time this week that an Irish Lotto player won big. Following Saturday's draw a ticket sold in the south-east won someone €111,049. They wish to remain anonymous but gave the following statement:

"It is all so much to take in. It is a surreal feeling to be in the National Lottery picking up a cheque for what is a life changing amount of money for our family. "It only feels real when you finally get the cheque into your hand. I am going to take some time out and think about the win. My family and I are going to plan a wonderful Christmas and after that, we will make some decisions to put some money away for the future."
