Ariana Grande calls off part of her tour in wake of Manchester attack

Ariana Grande has cancelled her upcoming tour dates after the tragic attack in Manchester which claimed the lives of 22 people.

On Monday night, 22 people were killed and 64 injured after a man detonated a bomb at the Manchester Arena during Ariana’s Dangerous Woman tour. Now the singer’s management team have released a statement saying the 23-year-old will be suspending her tour until June 5. “Due to the tragic events in Manchester, the tour has been suspended until we can further assess the situation and pay our proper respects to those lost,” read the statement.

The decision means Ariana will no longer perform in London, Belgium, Poland and Germany over the coming weeks. “We ask at this time that we all continue to support the city of Manchester and all those families affected by this cowardice and senseless act of violence. Our way of life has once again been threatened but we will overcome this together,” the statement concluded. After the attack on Monday night, Ariana took to Twitter to share her shock, saying: “Broken. From the bottom of my heart, I am so, so sorry! I don’t have words.”
