Brian Laundrie’s autopsy reveals the items found by his remains

Brian has also been confirmed as responsible for Gabby Petito's death.

Police in the US have released the full autopsy report for Brian Laundrie only a matter of weeks after it was confirmed that he had admitted to the murder of Gabby Petito. It was revealed by the FBI last month that Brian had "claimed responsibility" for Gabby's death after a notebook was discovered near his remains after he also went missing during the investigation. The autopsy report revealed that other items were found in his possession after his remains were found at the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park in Florida. A “pair of green shorts with a green belt, two slip-on shoes, a backpack with unknown contents, a white metal ring, and a handgun" were noted to be found in the autopsy. “The 'secondary' scene contained skeletal animal remains, a handwritten half note, and a hat with the logo 'MOAB Coffee Roasters,'" the report added. A bag was found by Brian's father is thought to have had notebooks and photos of his son, as well as an unused tent also being found. Brian's body was discovered back in October of last year, weeks after he had been named a person of interest in Gabby's disappearance and then murder. 22 year old Gabby and her 23 year old fiance had spent the summer travelling across the United States in a white van and posting their trip to YouTube, but it was ended when Laundrie returned to his parent's home in North Port, Florida without Gabby. She was then reported as missing by her family 10 days later.
