Gardaí and fire services were alerted to reports of the bus blaze on the M1 motorway in the north of the county shortly after 1.50am.
The incident occurred on the southbound carriageway between J05 (Balbriggan) and J04 (Donabate).
In a statement to JOE, a Garda spokesperson said that no injuries were reported and that all passengers were safely evacuated.
"The fire was extinguished and the bus has been removed from the scene for technical and forensic examination," they added.
"Investigations are ongoing."
