Chef Donal Skehan announces that he is to become a father

Congratulations are in order for Donal and Sofie Skehan who are expecting their first child.

The pair took to Instagram to share their happy news, saying:

“Life is about to change forever! We’re expecting a little baby arriving this Autumn! “Completely over the moon and feeling very blessed – Mommy and bump doing brilliantly, Dad and Max don’t know what’s about to hit! Big love, Donal, Sofie, Max and Bump.”

The couple met way back in 2006 in Howth and are now living in LA as Donal continues his work as a TV chef. However, you can currently see the 31-year-old in action on Donal Skehan's Meals in Minutes on RTÉ One. The year is yet to get a lot busier for the couple who now await the arrival of their first child.
