This Dublin house had its roof blown off last night

The weather might seem a little better today than it was during the week but lots of the country took a battering last night thanks to Storm Fionn's gale force winds. The storm especially caused havoc in north County Dublin, where the roof blew off one house. The fire brigade from Kilbarrack was called after the roof was found on Chapel Road in Portmarnock at around 1.10am. Meanwhile, a Status Yellow Weather Warning is still in place nationwide. Met Éireann predicts we'll have four seasons in one day today - it's forecasting cold and breezy weather with sunny spells as well as showers of rain, hail, sleet, and snow and a slight risk of thunder. Temperatures are expected to reach 2 to 6 degrees. Tonight will see further showers of rain, hail, sleet and snow. The showers will turn heavy in the north and northwest where a build-up of snow is likely. It'll be cold across the country with frost and icy patches in sheltered areas and we're being warned of slippery surfaces. Temperatures could dip as low as -1 with the strongest winds expected along Atlantic coasts.
