Exact date revealed when Ireland’s Fittest Family will return to our screens

The wait is finally over

16 families all over Ireland will once again battle for the title of Ireland's Fittest Family.

Whether you enjoy watching fitness fanatics push themselves to the limit while snacking on a packet of crisps, or you find it the perfect excuse to step up your own fitness game, we have some good news as Ireland's Fittest Family is set to return in November.

The beloved fitness programme returns for its 13th season on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player on Sunday, November 2, at 6:30 pm.

Similar to previous seasons, we can expect to see contestants being put to the test with high-intensity, challenging exercises.

TV presenter Laura Fox will return as the show's host alongside Anna Geary, Donncha O’Callaghan, and Fittest Family legend Davy Fitzgerald as the show's celebrity coaches.

The series' newcomers include Paralympic swimming champion Ellen Keane and former Dublin GAA star Michael Darragh MacAuley.

To add to the excitement, RTÉ has promised that this year's competition will include some 'epic new locations across the country'.

Even though this year's challenges haven't been revealed yet, it's hard to believe that The Drop Zone and Raft Rage: The Rivals won't make a return, considering their popularity amongst viewers.

RTÉ announced the good news after a press day where they challenged some famous Irish faces to various gruelling challenges.

They posted a clip to their Instagram, captioning it: "We put our coaches and some of Ireland’s finest content creators to the test, ahead of the new season of Ireland's Fittest Family."
