Seven-year-old Katie Rough was found with stab wounds in a field a mile from her home in York.
She died from her injuries on the way to hospital.
Her mum, Alison, has now launched the hashtag #teamrough to help others pay tribute to the little girl.
Her mum wrote on Facebook:
"My beautiful, beautiful sassy, kind, amazing girl. I love her more than any words could even come close to explaining. Life will never ever be the same again. My children, my grandson and my husband are my whole entire life, I live only for them. #teamrough xxxxx."
