Add us as a preferred source on Google »Up to four people have been stabbed during an incident in Dublin’s Stoneybatter area this afternoon.
As reported by The Irish Times, at least one of the victims was attacked while in their doorway. Another was stabbed while returning home from work.
A man was arrested by An Garda Síochána on Manor Place and is currently in custody.
It is understood that the suspect stabbed the victims using regular household implements.
None of the injuries are expected to be life threatening.
Local residents were told to go indoors shortly before 3pm on Sunday after emergency services were called to Oxmantown Road and Niall Street in Dublin 7.
In a statement given to RTÉ News, gardaí confirmed a man has been arrested in relation to the incident.
"There is no ongoing risk to the public at this time," the statement read.
