Fyre Festival organisers are being sued for $100 MILLION for fraud

After the disaster that was Fyre Festival, organisers Billy McFarland and Ja Rule are now being sued for $100 million by disappointed festival-goers.

The festival, which was compared to The Hunger Games and The Lord of the Flies online, cost eager attendees between $1,200 and $100,000, and now they’re taking a class action lawsuit.

One angry ticker holder is taking a $100 million class action and is trying to get others, who were left angry when the festival did not meet the high expectations it had set out, to get involved also. The festival was promoted as a luxury event held on a private island in the Bahamas, however, when attendees arrived, it was far from what their expectations had been.

The lawsuit, filed by Mark Geragos, says that Billy McFarland and Ja Rule lied about the accomodation and safety that would be provided at the festival. The claim also goes on to say that both Billy and Ja Rule warned A-list performers not to attend apparently knowing it would not be a success.
