Add us as a preferred source on Google »Gardaí have launched an investigation after a firework was thrown into the home of a woman in her 30s in Crumlin on Halloween.
They are urging witnesses to come forward after a woman was injured by fireworks at a residence on Cashel Avenue on October 31st.
Gardaí were on patrol at Cashel Avenue, Crumlin, Dublin 12, early on the evening of Friday, 31st October 2025, at a public gathering at a bonfire.
Fireworks were discharged, and missiles were thrown at uniform Gardaí, who were forced to withdraw.
An Garda Síochána escalated their capacity, including the deployment of Public Order Units, who secured the area and assisted the Dublin Fire Brigade to attend safely.
However, shortly after 6:30 pm, members at the scene became aware of a report of a firework being discharged into a private residence.
A woman, who is aged in her 30s, was initially treated at the scene by Dublin Fire Brigade personnel. She was later taken to St James’s Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Her injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.
Witnesses are being asked to come forward following the incident in Crumlin.
Anyone in the area of Cashel Road, Crumlin, Dublin 12, between 5.45 pm and 6.45 pm on Friday, 31st October 2025, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), is asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
