We lived off treats during the festive period, and our bodies are now calling out for some form of nutrients.

If, like us, you've got leftover Christmas treats at home, then don't throw them out just yet.

A Dublin-based charity is calling on the public to donate their leftover Christmas treats to those in need.

Muslim Sisters of Éire (MSOÉ) has asked the public to donate unopened and unwanted Christmas treats like sweets, selection boxes, and chocolate to help homeless families and children.

They wrote, "Every year we put a call out for leftover Christmas treats, and every year the public reaches new heights in generosity.

"Once again, we are asking if any of you lovely mammies and daddies have unused or unopened treats, such as selection boxes or sweets, that could bring joy to young children and to our homeless pals on our weekly soup run," they added.

"They truly love these little treats, and the smiles we see each week mean the world to us," the team shared.

So how can you donate?

There are multiple ways to donate to the Muslim Sisters of Éire. You can call the team on 086 785 4866, or drop off donations at their office in Dundrum. You can call in on Monday to Friday between 9:30 am and 1:00 pm.
