Carlow Weather posted to X that despite some heavy rain today, a “blast of heat” will arrive with temperatures expected to rise to 35°C in some areas.
According to The Sun, Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather said:
"Spanish Met warning temperatures in parts of South could hit 40c this coming week."
The Sun reports that high temperatures will be “confined mostly” to central and southern Spain, where it could get to 40°C.
Cities such as Zamora, Zaragoza, Madrid, and Toledo are likely to hit 30°C in the next few days.
Badajoz and Córdoba are expected to rise to 33°C and up. Seville is likely to go up to 35°C.
Temperatures in Spain are roughly five degrees above the average for May and June.
The heat is predicted to rise from tomorrow.

The Irish Cancer Society recommends using a broad-spectrum sunscreen that protects from both UVA and UVB. You should wear an SPF of at least 30 every single day.
