The new appeal hearing, which took place in Florence, was ordered by the Italian Supreme Court and found that the 2011 appeal was flawed, according to BBC.
The pair were cleared in 2011 after doubts were raised over procedures used to gather DNA evidence.
Kercher was stabbed to death in the flat she shared with Knox in 2007. There have been several theories about what occurred on the evening in question, including a sex game that went wrong and a heated argument between Knox and Kercher over the cleanliness of their flat.
Knox did not return for her the appeal in Florence, her brother and sister were present when the verdict was read out.
