A man has been charged following rapper Mac Miller's death. Cameron James Petit was arrested and charged with supplying counterfeit opioid pills to Miller two days before he died. He is accused of selling Miller oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl, an opioid that is 50 times more potent than heroin. A postmortem showed that Miller, who died last September, had taken an accidental overdose when fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol was found in his system. BBC News reports that Petit, who is 28-years-old, has appeared for a hearing and will be held in police custody until his trial. Prosecutors have said that their evidence against Petit includes messages that he sent after Miller's body was discovered last year. "Most likely I will die in jail," read one of the messages. If found guilty of distribution, Petit could spend up to 20 years in prison. He is being charged with selling the opioids, not with having a direct role in Miller's death.
