A man has died after a crash involving a bus and a pedestrian at Dublin Airport.
Shortly after 12.10am on Thursday (23 April), Gardaí and emergency services responded to a report of the collision which occurred at Corballis Road.
The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to multiple reports, the bus involved in the crash was an airport shuttle bus.
The body of the man has been conveyed to the mortuary at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, while the scene has been preserved for technical examination by Forensic Collision investigators.
Some lanes on the main access road to Dublin Airport (between the airport roundabout and the airport) remain closed this morning.
"However, access remains and traffic is moving well. Further road closures may be required as the morning progresses, with diversions possible," Dublin Airport said in a statement.
"Passengers should plan to travel to the airport as normal and follow @GardaTraffic diversions where required."
An Garda Síochána, meanwhile, said about the closures: "A partial road closure is in place at the main access route into Dublin Airport, with local diversions in place.
"Motorists travelling to Dublin Airport on the morning of Thursday 23rd April 2026 may wish to consider allowing extra time for their journey."
Gardaí are also appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
"Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area between 11.45pm on Wednesday 22nd and 00:15am on Thursday 23rd April 2026 are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí," a spokesperson said.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Ballymun Garda Station on (01) 666 4400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station."
daa, the company responsible for the operation of Dublin Airport, said in a statement: "daa is deeply saddened by the tragic passing of a passenger overnight following a road traffic accident on the main road leading to Dublin Airport...
"Our deepest sympathies are with the loved ones of the deceased.
"Emergency services and Airport Police attended the scene immediately. An Garda Síochána is carrying out a full investigation, which daa will continue to assist with.
