"It's too early to say what the precipitation type will be, it could be sleet, it could be snow on higher ground, we will need to see closer to the time," said forecaster Paul Downes. "It's definitely going to be a drastic change from Wednesday to Thursday as temperatures fall on Thursday afternoon we're expecting a hard frost on Thursday night, particularly in the eastern half of the country." Today, however, the weather isn't looking all that bad as most areas are staying fully dry, apart from patchy drizzle. "Overall cloudy with some mist and fog locally, though a few bright or sunny spells will develop too," reads the forecast.
