Met Éireann predict that we’re in for a lot of highs and lows this week

A bit all over the place, but it promises to get better.

While we won't be going anywhere without an umbrella, there will be a few dry patches to get us through the week. Met Éireann has predicted a week of very unsettled weather, and while it will be windy and blustery from time to time, temperatures will still be high and sunshine will eventually break through. Today is going to be "cloudy and misty in many places this morning but brightening through the day. Showers will merge into longer spells of rain at times, particularly across parts of Munster and Connacht. Highs of 16 to 18 degrees in light breezes."

Meanwhile, tonight we're in for "the odd shower at times but long dry and clear spells for the bulk of the night. Patches of fog will form in the light breezes. Lows of 10 to 12 degrees." On Wednesday, "here may be an occasional shower but dry most of the time with a fair amount of sunshine. Highs of 17 to 19 degrees in light westerly breezes. Cloud increasing in the afternoon /evening with rain to follow during the evening / night." As for Thursday, "early morning rain will quickly clear the east coast of Leinster and the day will brighten. However it will turn showery with the showers merging to longer spells of heavy rain at times, especially over the western half of the country. Highs of 15 to 17 degrees." The weekend is looking up, and while there will be the odd shower, lots of sunshine and high temperatures will also break through.
