Met Éireann Release Weather Warnings For Today

 What would an Irish winter be without a series of weather warnings?

MET Éireann released two yellow warnings earlier this morning for areas around the country,so please be careful (if you plan on leaving the house, that is.) Source:Giphy The first is a status YELLOW Marine warning, there will be strong south to south east gales on all coasts and the Irish Sea today which may reach strong gale force between Mizen and Erris head. There will also be southwest veering northwest winds that will reach gale force this afternoon and evening for a short while on coasts from Mizen to Erris and Malin Head. The second is a YELLOW Wind warning for Galway, Mayo, Donegal, Clare, Cork and Kerry with gusts of up to 95km/h expected today, with the highest winds on the coastal regions. Storm Frank is to blame apparently, with a Met Éireann spokesperson telling the Irish Mirror: 'This is from another powerful Atlantic storm out to the West of Ireland which may produce some damaging gusts over Ireland and further flooding.'
