The weather forecaster said: "Showery outbreaks of rain will continue to affect parts of Ulster and Leinster this morning but the rest of the country will get off to a dry start. Showers will become more widespread this afternoon but Munster and south-Connacht will continue to have good dry periods. Highs of 10 to 14 degrees in light breezes." While tonight, "it will be generally dry and clear overnight. Cool with lows of 1 to 3 degrees and grass frost in places. Fog patches will develop in the calm conditions." The weekend is looking up however, with dry, warm and sunny days. "Dry through Saturday and Sunday with good sunshine on both of the days. Temps on Saturday will range from 11 to 14 degrees in almost calm conditions.
