A cold spell is set to hit the country on Friday night when temperatures are expected to plunge below 0C.
That's not all, further unsettled conditions, such as wind, rain, and hail, are also forecast over the coming days.
Even Storm Dave, which has been brewing in the Atlantic, was expected to batter Ireland, however, Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather said the possibility of this is 'much lower now'.
In its national outlook, Met Éireann has said: "Mostly unsettled with rain and showers spreading from the Atlantic. A brief colder spell on Friday night and Saturday but otherwise temperatures will be close to or slightly above normal."
According to their forecast, today will be damp, with some bright spells breaking through before tomorrow turns dull and breezy.
Friday is set to be a bright, dry day, however a sharp cold snap is expected during the night, perhaps even bringing icy patches.
Saturday will have a cold start before turning slightly milder in the evening, with Sunday turning wet and windy.
In some better news, O'Reilly further added that we can expect some good weather around March 6.
Fingers crossed!
