The latest trailer for Stephen Spielberg's adaptation of the classic 50s musical West Side Story has just dropped, and we're in a state of awe.
The newest film version of the hit Broadway show is set to hit cinemas this December, with the Oscar-winning director taking his own spin on things.
Based loosely on Romeo and Juliet, the story tells of two star crossed lovers Tony, who will be played by Ansel Elgort, and Maria, played by Rachel Zegler, and as they deal with their gang's rivalries, the question of race in New York in 1957 come up as they fight to be together.
Just another movie musical set to appear on the big screen this year, the trailer shows a clip of Zegler's rendition of Tonight in the background and shows her getting ready for a dance before meeting Tony, and fighting off the opinions of their families.
With Broadway stars oozing out of this film, it's already giving homage to the stage version, with Hamilton star Ariana Debose as Anita, Billy Elliot star David Alvarez as Bernardo and Dear Evan Hansen star Mike Faist as Riff.
Broadway legend Brian d'Arcy James as Officer Krupke, and the original 1961 film version is getting some recognition as EGOT winner Rita Moreno is the only original cast member in the new version, playing Valentina.
Fans on Twitter can't get enough of the new trailer, with one saying: "sobbing before my work meeting she’s a star she’s a star YOU’RE A STAR @rachelzegler."
