Newborn twins orphaned after mum passes away day of dad’s funeral

Newborn twins and their toddler sister have tragically become orphans after their mum passed away on the same day of their dad's funeral.

Stephanie Caceres died on July 26 after suffering complications from her cesarean section on July 14, according to the Palm Beach Post. The 27 year old passed away on the same day her partner and father of her children, Jevaughn Suckoo, was laid to rest after he was shot outside their home in Florida. Cops say that Jevaughn was murdered when he was fatally shot on July 11, just three days before Stephanie gave birth to twins Jevaughn Jr and Lailah. The couple also shared another daughter together, one year old Kailanie. Jevaughn's aunt Joni Saunders told local news outlet WPTV that the family has been left "devastated". She said the couple had been eagerly anticipating the twins, only for a "tragedy, a double whammy hit." She added:

"Now we're just trying [to] figure out how to move forward."
