If this project gets the green light, the area will be fully pedestrianised and a two lane cycle track will be put in place, vehicles will no longer be able to travel through college green and bus routes would be diverted.
This however has worried many local businesses located within the centre of town, who believe making college green a pedestrianised plaza will discourage people from venturing into the city centre.
