Writing on GoFundMe, the girl's family confirmed she visited her home for the first time since the attack.
They said this was their daughter's first time seeing their new neighbourhood too.
The family explained that they had to move to an 'adapted home' so this was their little girl's first visit to their new house.
They shared: "We got to bring our baby home for a visit. It was the first time since November that she was in her room.
"We were able to move to an adapted home, so it was also the first time she saw her new neighbourhood and house," they added.
Her family confirmed they're feeling hopeful about bringing her home for good.
The visit was "a very emotional one" but they're hoping she will be released from the hospital soon.
"It was a big step towards bringing her home for good... a very emotional one. And she did not disappoint. What a warrior!" they added.
The young girl's family previously shared that she may be released from hospital in the autumn.
"Our little warrior has been doing well and there is talk of a discharge before Autumn. Even after a nasty stomach bug, she is doing well with her feeds, and she enjoys play time and her therapies.
"She is able to communicate what she likes, doesn't like, and is in great spirits," they shared.
Her family said she is now interested in playing as well as continuing her education.
"We are looking forward to the next chapter," they shared.
