With Oasis returning to Dublin for the first time in 17 years, selling out two Croke Park shows, the Oasis buzz was big in Ireland over the weekend.
One Irish wedding even got a very special rendition of maybe the band's most iconic hit, Wonderwall, right at the altar.
Longford's Father Joe McGrath, who has been known to hit some high notes in the past, surprised a bride, groom, and all their guests by performing the iconic Oasis chorus mid-ceremony.
Rachel Griffin, a wedding singer in Galway, captured the moment Father Joe broke into song.
When Father Joe began singing, 'I'm sure you've heard it all before, but you never really had a doubt,' the newlyweds and their entourage quickly caught on and chimed in to complete the chorus.
At the end, Father Joe flashed a smile at the couple and said, "You weren't expecting that, were you?"
The video was quick to gain traction online, drawing praise from Oasis fans all over the globe.
Comments full of praise flooded the comment section, with Noel Gallagher's daughter Anais even commenting she was 'obsessed' with the video.
Another user said: "I won’t marry if it’s not like this," with another writing: "Only in Ireland 🇮🇪! A true man of music and God!"
Rachel Griffin captioned the TikTok 'Only in Ireland'. The 49-second clip has already racked up over 244,000 views with more than 15,000 likes.
Now, Father Joe is no stranger to musical flair, as another social media clip of him performing Love Is In The Air at another wedding resurfaced amid all the buzz.
However, amidst all the praise, some users weren't shy to share their criticism.
One TikTok user compared Father Joe to fellow singing priest Ray Kelly, writing: "This has no place in a Church ceremony."
Though people were quick to come to Father Joe's defence, writing: "What a wonderful priest to show humour, remember God has a sense of humour..he created all of us."
Father Joe's musical interlude came just days before Oasis' first Dublin concert since 2008. More than 82,000 fans attended the reunion in Croke Park on Saturday (August 16), with another sold-out show on Sunday.
