Scarlett Faulkner's brother, Jason Faulkner, has died days after being a pallbearer at his sister's funeral.
Jason, 30s, was from Longpavement Halting Site in Limerick, and carried his sister's coffin during her funeral on Friday, 17 April.
Scarlett died three weeks after being allegedly assaulted with an iron bar on the side of the R494 road near Birdhill in Tipperary.
The young mother died after her life support was switched off last Monday, 13 April at Cork University Hospital.
The body of her brother, Jason, was recovered from a river in Limerick on Sunday, gardaí said.
Melissa McCarthy, the cousin of Jason and Scarlett, confirmed the heartbreaking news on social media.
"My heart, 2 days after burying your sister Scarlett, your [sic] gone now Jason, her lovely brother. The laughs we had, oh Jason what are the family gonna do? I can't get my head round it, no doubt Scarlett Faulkner was there to meet you - together again forever," she wrote online.
"Please keep my aunt Mary and Banny and family in yere [sic] prayers."
